My two weeks notice!

Wow! *_~ One of my classmate sent me this! What a surprise!! She's the best classmate ever!! It was shipped FedEx.. I was thinking to myself, did I order anything from amazon again? It's amazing how fresh and cold the strawberry was! The dry ice was still very cold..  =) It was yummy and so good!! 

 

Yes!  I finally turned in my 2 weeks notice at work. It's been nearly six year commuting over the Bay Bridge five days a week (not including the weekends). I am not going to miss the traffic,but will *miss*  all 120 of my co-workers...

 

 Life goes on right? Just feel like I'm not going anywhere anymore! Nope I did not look for a new job nor planning too. MOney is going to be tight but I think I'll be ok till school ends.. I might probably get a part time job.. (maybe not.. haha..)  or just a school loan. (Whatever!)

 

=) I am nervous and exciting about the future!

Back on Track !

It's fairly obvious ... It’s been nearly a year and half since my last blog. I haven’t forgotten about this blog, I promise! OK, IVE BEEN LAZY TO BLOG! I just wanted to write a quick note to let you know that I haven't abandoned you and I'm not getting bored with this blog. I actually miss blogging!

What the hell happened to me? Well, I’ve been pretty laid back the past year in terms of school and life itself. I’m no longer working 50+ hours, quit my part time bookkeeping job and took a year off of school. Well, I missed the deadline to apply, completely my fault. I wasn’t sure I wanted to go to Cal State East Bay for Human Development or Golden Gate University for Business. At the end, I decided it’s wiser to go to Cal State Eastbay. Why? Well, after I graduate I wanted to learn about filming etc. I wanted to get my Bachelor degree out of the way. Nope, I won’t be going to film school, the idea of going into 40-60k in debt. for a hobby isn’t fun at all. I'll just see by then.. If not, I can always go back and get my Masters.

Anyways, there's no better way to re-start this blog, then today. Today is my school orientation, I’m officially in. yay! I know it took longer than expected. According to my degree program, I should finish in 7 quarters if I take 3 classes. I’m thinking of taking 3-4 classes, since I’m planning to get to 2 degrees. School is starting in a month and I’ve added my 3 classes. I’m going back next week to get my school ID, my books and to check out if there's any good clubs.

I just started my job search; it’s not going so great. There’s a few I like, but it pays so little. I know the economy is terrible right now. I am expecting a pay cut, hopefully I'll find something that will allow me to learn. My personal life is not going so great, still having meet anyone special.. Well, I haven’t really met anyone new. It’s so hard to meet new people these days. Seem like everyone is busy living their live, that no one has time for anyone or vice versa. =(

I left my heart in the Crescent city !

My trip to Crescent city was so unique and so much fun! I fell in love with the city and think I left my heart there! Everyone is so laid back, happy, and nice, and willing to just forget about real life and have a great time during Mardi-Gras. I’m definitely wouldn’t mind spending another 3-day weekend there! Hmmm.. =( I missed the Beignet from Café de Monde already! I got the baby in the king cake during our visit to Mardi-Gras world, the dessert of Mardi-Gras- so I’ll definitely buy next cake.

I waited so long to come to the city, because everyone keeps saying it’s unsafe. I think it’s as safe as any city you go too. There is so much to do and see in and around New Orleans. I thought the local was so friendly, amazing food; so much history and I truly learn to appreciate jazz and just have a good time. Oh, did I mention we could have an open container on the street like Vegas. We went to 2 Mardi-Gras parade and loved every minute of it and we got half a suitcase of beads and mini teddy bears. I’m definitely going back in a year or two to get my heart back! =)

I know I should really thankful that I still have a job; while everyone is trying to find a decent paying job. However I guess I’m just so tired of working the night shift and now school fulltime. I don’t want to get fire, after all who does. If they can just lay me off, so I can just go to school full time that would be so nice! I can probably take 5 classes a quarter and finish within a year. (Hopefully I have all my lower division class done this semester.) Oh well, I guess I’ll just take my time for now and be thankful. Either way I’m quitting the night shift next May and hopefully close to graduating. =)
